- Q: Is there a strata? Yes, bare land strata. You own your lot & your house.
You pay strata fees for the common areas.
- Q: How much is the strata fee? Currently the strata fees are $90.00 per month.
- Q: What is included in the strata fee? Maintenance of internal roads, street lights, front yards, security gates, irrigation water, future club house.
- Q: What are the strata rules? 45 plus years, small pets only, no rentals, guests can stay 30 days.
- Q: What are the responsibilities of an owner? Household utilities, external & internal property maintenance, property taxes.
- Q: When will the Club House be started? Immediately following substantial sale of Phase II.
- Q: Is there RV parking? Yes.
- Q: Can I choose my own builder? No. The Wiltse Group has partnered with Rivendell Homes, a multi-award winning builder & designer, to bring you BC's first Built Green™ Adult Community & Penticton's First Built Green™ Community.
- Q: Can I purchase the lot and build at a future date? No. Upon purchasing the lot from the Wiltse Group, you must immediately enter into a construction agreement with Rivendell to build your home.
- Q: How long will it take to build my home? 8 months from the time you sign the construction agreement.
- Q: What upgrade options do I have in the construction of my home? Rivendell works with you to choose everything from inside walls, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, flooring, countertops, colours, skylights, fireplace, finished basement as well as Built Green™ options.
- Q: What can't I change in the construction of my home? The outside "streetscape" cannot be changed. Ie) footprint of the house, exterior colour & finishing materials.
- Q: What is the heating system? Air source heat pump. It pulls the heat from the air in the winter and the cooling from the air in the summer. Very efficient.
- Q: What is the construction of the building? Rivendell is a certified Built Green™ . Your home is built to a Bronze level. Concrete foundation, 2 x 4 -24" framing.
- Q: Where is the closest grocery store? There is a corner store within 5 minutes walk from your door. Cherry Lane Shopping Centre is within 1 km and has many stores including Save-On Foods, London Drugs, Valley First Credit Union and CIBC bank.
- Q: Do you have an airport? The Penticton airport is located 10 minutes away from your doorstep. We currently have flights direct to Vancouver and are working on direct flights to Calgary and Edmonton.
- Q: What else is there to do in the Penticton area? We have many excellent golf courses and wineries. We also boast a large number of walking/biking/hiking paths, climbing areas, world class skiing in the winter, world class water sports in the summer, fishing, camping, and "off road adventures" in the many local mountain areas. There are many activities for the Naturalists out there; we are home to 4 different climate zones within an hour of Penticton, 329 different species of birds and a number of mammals indigenous to this area.
- Q: How far are you away from the beach? We are approximately 2 km. from Skaha Beach and Park. The amenities include swimming, boating, seadooing, basketball, beach volleyball, tennis, children's water park, concessions, and picnic areas.
- Q: What type of amenities does Brentview Estates offer on site? An ammenity building to come in 2010. Fully equipped with lounge room with fireplace, meeting room and function room with kitchen, large outdoor pool, hot tub, and fully landscaped property. RV Parking on-site. Minimal monthly fee payable to the strata council.
- Q: Is this a lake view development? Some lots may have a peak-a-boo lake view. We however, have fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and hills.
- Q: What is the weather like in Penticton? Short moderate winters; long hot summers.
- Q: Can I have a satellite dish? Yes. The disclosure statement allows an 18" dish.
